Integrate OpenQuiz into your applications

Quick start

OpenQuiz hosts live multiple-choice quizzes in a web browser. Create an account, verify your email when prompted, and sign in to the dashboard. Choose Create Quiz to write questions or AI Quiz Generator to prepare a draft. Before inviting an audience, save a short practice quiz and join it from a second browser or device. Hosting and playing require an internet connection.

Creating quizzes

Create a quiz from the dashboard. Each quiz supports 1 to 200 questions, each with 2 to 6 choices, exactly one correct answer, and a timer from 5 to 300 seconds. Review imported or generated content before hosting.

Hosting a game

Open a saved quiz to create a game lobby. Share its PIN and ask players to open the Join Game page, enter the PIN, and choose a name. Confirm that the expected players have entered before selecting Start Quiz. The host opens the first question, uses End Question to display results, and selects Next Question to advance. Leave time to discuss the correct answer between rounds. Reloading reconnects to the current room state without restarting the question deadline.

AI-assisted authoring

Choose a topic, number of questions, and difficulty in AI Quiz Generator. You can also supply source text or request web research when available. Treat generated questions as drafts: check facts against your teaching material, remove ambiguous wording, and confirm exactly one correct choice. Save only the questions you have reviewed. For a classroom, avoid sending student personal information as source material. If generation is unavailable, you can create the same quiz manually.

Results and analytics

Use game history and quiz statistics to review participation, scores, and answers. Running rooms keep an immutable quiz version, so editing the source does not change the questions already being played. CSV and PDF exports are not currently provided.

Working with a team

Create a team, add existing users by email, and share quizzes with its members. Owners manage administrative access; membership and quiz ownership are checked by the API.
